About Gabon Eco

Gabon Eco brings together in one place the information that investors, businesses, researchers, journalists and citizens need to understand the Gabonese economy: macroeconomic indicators, sector and province profiles, infrastructure maps, administrative procedures, legal texts and economic news.

The platform has three goals:

• inform with reliable, sourced and dated data;
• facilitate investors' formalities by explaining procedures and pointing to the relevant administrations;
• promote investment opportunities in Gabon to French-speaking and English-speaking audiences.

Gabon Eco is a project of Action Gabon, its publisher and commissioning body. The platform was designed and built by PANEOTECH, which is responsible for its technical delivery. Full legal information is available in the legal notice.

• No invented figures. Every published figure comes from an identified source: an international institution, a Gabonese administration or a public body. Information that cannot be verified is not published as fact: the few unsourced values, such as some indicative procedure fees and delays or some lines of the duty and tax simulator, are marked "illustrative data".
• Visible sources. Every indicator, chart and page shows its source, a link to the original and the date it was consulted.
• Explicit status. Values are marked as final, provisional or estimated, and projections are distinguished from observations.
• Open data. Series come first from public databases under open licences, such as the World Bank World Development Indicators (CC BY 4.0 licence), and can be downloaded.
• Original content. News items are summaries written by the editorial team, with a link to the original publication.

The platform offers a research assistant, Gabon Eco AI, which answers questions from the content published on the site and cites its sources. Its answers are not a substitute for legal, tax or financial advice.
