Overview
The National Agency for National Parks (ANPN) is the body that manages Gabon's thirteen national parks. Law No. 003/2007 of 27 August 2007 on national parks created the public park management service that became ANPN; it places the parks in the state public domain, provides for a network representative of the country's biodiversity and transfers local authorities' police powers to the managing body. The law was amended by ordinance No. 007/PR/2017 of 27 February 2017. For an investor, ANPN is the contact for ecotourism projects in or around the parks and for any activity, such as research or infrastructure, that affects their boundaries. The agency's former website no longer leads to official content, so no link is given.
