Overview
The Directorate General of Trade (DGC) is the directorate of the trade ministry that handles foreign trade matters. Its published missions include assisting and guiding economic operators, promoting exports together with other administrations, enforcing import and export rules for traded goods, proposing trade facilitation measures and contributing to texts on imports, exports and trade facilitation. It is also tasked with supporting exporters' associations and the marketing of local products. In the procedures described on this portal, it is the contact point for commercial formalities before some import and export operations and for questions on the origin of goods, together with customs. The ministry's internal titles have changed several times.
