GSEZ, developer and manager of the Nkok special economic zone
Overview
GSEZ is the company that develops and manages the Nkok special economic zone, an industrial park launched in 2010, 27 km from Libreville near Ntoum. According to GSEZ, the zone covers 1,126 hectares split into industrial, commercial and residential areas, and hosts 144 companies from 17 countries in 22 sectors, with a wood processing cluster. GSEZ is a public-private partnership between Arise IIP and the Republic of Gabon. Law No. 010/2011 of 18 July 2011 on special economic zones gives a development and management body responsibility for welcoming investors, maintaining networks, monitoring goods movements and approving access to zone benefits. An independent agency, Tracer, records log flows entering the zone. The contact office is in Libreville.
