Tourism sector law

This law sets the institutional, regulatory, economic, environmental and social framework for all tourism activities in Gabon, in line with sustainable development goals. It covers all the forms of tourism the country intends to develop: ecotourism and nature tourism, business, conference and events tourism, cultural and religious tourism, medical tourism, sports tourism, beach tourism and any other form suited to the national potential. It is the reference for tourism professions, such as accommodation, travel agencies or guiding, and for hotel investment projects. It works alongside the national parks law for activities in protected areas and with the tax incentives for hotels adopted in finance laws.
