Ordinance amending the national parks law
Summary
This ordinance amends the 2007 national parks law, which sets the legal regime of Gabon's national parks and entrusts their management to the national parks agency (ANPN, Agence nationale des parcs nationaux). According to its FAOLEX record, it rewrites articles 3, 9, 13, 17, 19, 23, 51 and 69 of the law. The themes associated with the text in that database are biodiversity conservation, protected areas, wildlife management, tourism and communities' traditional rights. For an ecotourism investor or an operator working in or around a park, the 2007 law must be read as amended by this ordinance to know which activities are allowed and which rules apply on park peripheries.
