According to Infos Plus Gabon, in an article dated 9 January 2026 and carried by AllAfrica, the Union of Gabonese Timber Foresters and Industrialists (UFIGA) and the Transgabonais Operating Company (SETRAG) have validated a tariff agreement governing rail transport services for logs for the 2025-2026 period. The agreement also lifts the rule that required cash payment before any service.
According to the article, the agreement, the result of dialogue between the two organisations, takes into account the interests of both parties. Discussions are to be held during the year on the tariff terms applicable in 2027.
UFIGA and SETRAG reaffirmed their wish to maintain a lasting and transparent collaboration, in support of the competitiveness of the timber sector and Gabon's economic development.
