According to Gabonmediatime, the National Investment Promotion Agency (ANPI-Gabon) and the National Centre for Scientific and Technological Research (CENAREST) signed on 17 September 2026 a memorandum of understanding creating a joint technical secretariat. The ceremony brought together Ghislain Moandza Mboma, managing director of ANPI-Gabon, and Alfred Ngomanda, commissioner general of CENAREST.
The partnership aims to connect investment promotion, investor support and business climate improvement with scientific and technological research, in order to put research knowledge and innovation to work for economic development.
The agreement follows a partnership between Business Africa International (BAI) and Gabon Hubs Events to prepare the second edition of an international economic forum, scheduled for 25 to 27 November 2026 at the Omar Bongo Ondimba Palais des Congres. ANPI-Gabon and CENAREST will jointly run its scientific committee.
