Rather than building new plants, considered too costly and slow, management chose to rehabilitate existing installations, targeting first the problem of cloudy water caused by old pipes clogged with sediment. In Libreville, the restoration of 14 boreholes has begun.
An investment plan of 350 billion CFA francs has been adopted for 2026-2028. The company has allocated 75 billion to its own needs, including 25 billion as an immediate contribution.
On 12 March 2026, SEEG formalised the operational launch of its partnership with the French group Suez, which has committed to inject 200 million euros, or 131 billion CFA francs, over the next five years.
