According to Gabonmediatime, citing the World Investment Report 2026 of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Gabon recorded foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows of 379 million dollars in 2025, about 216 billion CFA francs, against 310 million dollars in 2024.
Gabon's FDI stock reached 19.24 billion dollars, against 18.89 billion a year earlier. FDI outflows remain limited at 56 million dollars.
The outlet reports that UNCTAD highlights the strong concentration of investment in Africa in a few economies and sectors, and fragile prospects due to geopolitical tensions, trade uncertainty and the slowdown of major infrastructure projects.
