According to Gabonreview, the fall in palm oil output, down 11% year on year, is explained by insufficient supply of palm fruit bunches to processing units, itself linked to lower plantation yields. Wheat flour recorded its fourth consecutive quarterly decline, down 4% quarter on quarter and 23.7% year on year.
By contrast, mineral water stood out with 16% quarterly growth, the best performance in the segment. Carbonated and alcoholic beverages remained almost flat over the quarter, at -0.1%, but were down 2.8% year on year.
