Ministry of Water and Forests, Environment and Climate, in charge of Human-Wildlife Conflict
Overview
This ministry carries state policy on water, forests, wildlife, environment and climate. Its current title, as listed on the government portal, brings water and forests, environment and climate, and the management of conflicts between people and wildlife into a single department. Its general mission is to supervise and coordinate policies on these resources to support economic development while preserving ecosystems. For a timber investor it is the reference administration: award and monitoring of forest titles, oversight of wood processing and trade, and checks before export. The ministry also publishes notices addressed to economic operators. It supervises several bodies, listed on its website.
