Uniform act on general commercial law
Summary
The uniform act on general commercial law (AUDCG) defines the status of traders and their obligations, including bookkeeping and registration in the trade and personal property credit register (RCCM). It replaced the 1997 text and has applied since 15 May 2011. The revision created the status of entreprenant, a simplified regime for very small individual businesses that register by declaration, and provided for the computerisation of the RCCM. The act also governs professional leases, the business as a going concern and its transfer, commercial intermediaries such as commission agents, brokers and sales agents, and commercial sales between professionals. In Gabon it underpins the registration of sole traders and companies with the court registry and the security of commercial leases.
