National Social Security Fund
Overview
The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) runs the social security scheme for private sector employees and non-permanent state workers. It pays family benefits, pensions and annuities for work accidents and occupational diseases. For a company, the obligations are straightforward: register the business, either at a CNSS branch or during company creation at ANPI-Gabon, register each employee, file the payroll declaration every quarter and pay contributions before the deadline to avoid penalties. The head office is on avenue Georges Damas Aleka in Libreville, with branches including Akanda and Bikélé (Ntoum). An online portal, e.CNSS, handles part of these operations.
