According to a briefing note from the Directorate General of Economy and Fiscal Policy, reported by Gabonmediatime on 26 February 2026, Gabon's extractive activity contracted 1.2% in the third quarter of 2025 compared with the previous quarter, with oil and gas declining while manganese production grew 8.6%.
